Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Young and children visited near Raleigh Wednesday night with her mother, Mrs. Mildred Ferrell. Mr. and Mrs. Vance Denton and children of this area, Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Puckett of Louisburg, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Cates and Diane of Bethany and Bill Denton and son, Billy of Zebulon were callers Sunday of the Jim Dentons and Mrs. Nita Denton of Riley. Mrs. Mary Bell of Raleigh spent a few days last week with Mr. and Mrs. Julian Mitchell. Mrs. Marcia Leflingwell and Mrs. Mamie Mitchell took Mrs. Carolyn Young to the bus station i in Raleigh Saturday for a trip to ■ Baltimore, Md., where she visited : with her father, James Collins and ■ his family. It was the first time { she had seen him in 13 years. Messrs. George and Johnny Cur rin, Bobby Creech and A1 Strick land spent the weekend at Topsail i Beach. ] Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Richards 1 and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Richards were visitors recently at Virginia Beach, Va., with Rev. and Mrs. Ceorge Stallings, former pastor of Union Chapel. Mrs. Jack Creech and Brenda, Mrs. Mertie Creech, Mrs. Pete breech, and Miss Cathy Richards attended a miscellaneous shower Eor Miss Beverly Creech, bride alect of June, Friday night in the Hales Chapel community. A surprise stork shower was given Saturday night at the church annex honoring Mrs. Jenny Spell man. Hostesses were the women of the Young Married Couples Class and the Adult Ladies of Un ion Chapel Church. The guests were served strawberry ice punch, cupcakes, sandwiches and nuts. She received many nice and use ful gifts. Mrs. Spellman is the wife of a member of Wakelon High School faculty. Personals Dr. and Mrs. Douglas S. Cham blee and children, Gale, Gary and Marie, have returned to Lima, Peru, after a month’s stay in North Carolina. Dr. Chamblee has an other two years in the South American country, finishing his ;enure there in July, 1964. He is issociated with N. C. State Col ege Agronomy Department. While n North Carolina he and his fam ly visited his mother, Mrs. C. S. -hamblee and his sister, Mrs. Dreston Smith and her family. * Sgt. and Mrs. Jeffery Carter and ion arrive today for a visit with lis mother, Mrs. Urtrice Carter, fhey will have with them Mrs. Carter’s mother, Mrs. Weber. On Thursday they will leave for New York where Mrs. Weber will en plane for her home in Fulda, Germany. She has been with the younger Carters at their home in Columbia, S. C., for the past year. * Mrs. S. G. Flowers, Mrs. Frank Wall and Mrs. Flowers’ sister, Mrs. Ed Cothran of Raleigh, spent Tuesday at Crescent Beach mak ing reservations for their summer vacation place. ' * Mr. and Mrs. M. J.
